I just recently participated in the cash for Klunkers program. Since I am a member of AAA I called to make an appointment with a member of your staff, in hopes of buying a car without going to the dealer. I still remember my horrific experience of buying a car at a dealership,and then, after a year, the phone calls from salesmen started.
No matter that I had just bought a car. I finally had to write a letter to Toyota corporate office, but stil they didn't stop. Anyhow, never again do I want to buy a car from a dealership.

Garden and do some downtown shopping. It's funny how those little
pleasures mean a lot when we live so far from "town." Having the new car also makes it easy to offer to drive to events, i.e. Red Hats, golfing, etc. We have not yet received a survey from AAA regarding the purchase of the car, but will look forward to filling it our when it arrives. I have been a member of AAA of Arizona for many years, and this week I have had my best experience ever. I contacted Gerry Wilson Tuesday, May 19th to assist me in buying a van which I could convert to wheelchair accessible. Gerry listened to me and explained my options. He was able to acquire a used 2006 Chevy Uplander van, already converted, with less than 7,000 miles. He assisted me with using the Toyota Matrix, I had bought with his assistance in 2008, as a trade in. I had thought I would have to pay almost $50,000 and was able to walk away paying $8,180.15! He looked at every resource, and he was able to lower the original price quoted twice. I took delivery on Thursday, May 21st. Gerry took the time to cancel my extended warranty on the Toyota and help me sign up for an extended warranty on the Chevy. I have used many of the AAA services, roadside assistance, car maintenance services, trip-tics, travel reservations and travel accessories, as well as having my car insurance through AAA. The car buying service is the best of all services offered, especially when dealing with a man like Gerry Wilson. I am a senior citizen, living in Sun City, and have many times been treated like my brain died when my husband passed, and my hair grew gray. Gerry greeted me in a timely manner, appointments are kept and promises are fulfilled. He followed up with me this morning to make sure all was well. Although the tires on my new Chevy van passed minimal standards, he had two front tires replaced for dry-rot, and knowing the heat in Arizona, had the AC charged to full capacity even though it also had passed minimum standards. He was organized in dealing with paperwork and wasted no time, his or mine. I know excellence when I see it as my Grandfather sold Chevy's for more than 40 years at Standard Chevrolet in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Like Gerry, he took care of his customers, and they and their families came back year after year. A copy of this letter is being sent, along with Gerry's contact information to all my Arizona family and friends. If you have an "Employee of the Year", I wholeheartedly recommend Gerry Wilson. No one represents the great qualities of AAA better than Gerry.

Like many others, I was amazed at all the different services that come with becoming a AAA member. I was suddenly in the market to purchase a larger used car due to the birth of my son and decided to utilize AAA Car Buying services as featured in the highroads magazine. Though we had heard ads of AAA Car Buying on the Prescott radio station, we were somewhat skeptical and fearful as we approached Mike in the Sun City West office.
We are now the owners of a Honda Civic which we like very much and we are very happy we made the decision to go this route.
Mike put us at ease with his manner and apparent knowledge of cars and the car business. He took time to listen to our thoughts on what we wanted for our usage and financial resources. He took the time to research various models we were thinking about and he talked in terms we understood. My family says thanks for the cookies! Arielle loves the car. It does everything hoped for. Easy to drive, smooth & economical. The A/C works very well too. I got her a GARMIN GPS that talks to her turn by turn so she is not lost, it's terrific. Fits right into a holder near the shifter so it doesn't block her windshield vision. If I am able to refer anyone to you, I certainly will! The service and ease of buying was well worth it!

Dear Mr. Shultz:
Today I finalized the purchase of a Hyundai – Tucson.
All cars I owned, I sort of inherited and the most I ever paid for a car was $500. Needless to say, I was totally at loss of where to start and what to do.
I remembered that AAA had a car purchasing facility so I contacted you.
I must say that Gerry Wilson was my "salvation". He was patient with me, totally stressed and somewhat hysterical as I was. He calmed me. He showed me the car (and I fell in love), arranged for the financing where it was needed, and was there with helpful suggestions. Mainly, he calmed me down and told me that "all would be OK". I cannot tell you how grateful I am to Gerry.
I hope this letter finds its way into Gerry’s personnel file. Employees who go out of their way to make a purchase less stressful and even pleasurable, I hope get recognized and perhaps even rewarded.
Anyhow, my unending thanks to Gerry Wilson.

I recently bought a 2009 Camry through the AAA Car Buying Service in Chandler and am absolutely thrilled with my experience. I doubt many people can say that their car buying experience was a pleasure but that is because they have not worked with the fabulous Eddie K! Eddie's low-key approach took all the stress from the process. I told him what I wanted, he found it and at a better price than I could have found on my own. He even helped me find great financing. I want to extend my gratitude and appreciation to Maya Schacht in AAA Car Buying at the AAA Tucson office.
I bought a 2009 Toyota Camry in October, 2008, with her help. Although this is hard to believe, given my previous car-buying experiences, it was painless. She was knowledgeable, professional and warm and led me step-by-step through the process of trading in an older Camry, getting exactly the new one I wanted and arranging all of the paperwork for trade-in, purchase, financing, insurance, registration, etc.. All of this was accomplished without a misstep and in a very short period of time. I usually spend more time haggling than it took to go through the whole process with no unpleasantness with Maya.
I just wanted to let you know that Maya Schacht made car buying from AAA a pleasure. I will never do it the old way again.

| I recently bought my car through AAA's car buying service. This was the first time that I didn't inherit a vehicle or buy from a friend, so I was understandably nervous about the process. Ron Bender (AAA Prescott) provided phenomenal service. He not only found me the exact car that I was looking for, but patiently answered all of my questions (and there were many!) along the way. When it came time to pick up the car, Ron cleared his schedule to take care of some last minute logistics so that I could get it in time to visit my mom for Mother’s Day. His guidance and dedication made the process simple and comfortable, and I absolutely love my car!

Mrs Smith told me that when they became members in 1969 (40 years ago) she bought the membership for $25 as a Christmas gift for her husband and thought that was quite extravagant. They have been able to keep up the membership all these years and have also purchased auto and home owner's insurance through AAA. Mrs Smith went on to tell me that they even purchased a car in 2006 through AAA and it was the most wonderful car buying experience they have had, plus AAA saved them $3000.

I wanted to let you know we love the car. I loved our old highlander, and I had high expectations for the hybrid, but this car exceeds those expectations.
