AAA recently joined the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Manufacturers, and the American Trucking Associations to urge Congress to make progress on a multi-year surface transportation bill.

 All four organizations have also sponsored this letter, which is slated to run as an advertisement in Capitol Hill-focused publications.

The letter stresses the importance of transportation to the nation’s safety, economy, and quality of life.  It also underscores the fact that each organization supports increased funding, provided program reforms and increased accountability are included.
