Day 1: Monday, December 28, 2009
This morning is an early one.  You will meet your AAA Travel Host and Tour Director, board a deluxe air-conditioned motor coach and depart for the “City of Angels”.  On the way, we’ll stop for lunch in Blythe (on your own).  After lunch, settle back and enjoy the scenery, watch an onboard movie or catch up on some well-deserved rest and relaxation.  Before you know it, we’ll arrive at our destination.  A Welcome Reception with light snacks waits for you.
Marriott Marina del Rey Hotel (5 nights)

Day 2: Tuesday, December 29, 2009
After a Buffet Breakfast at the hotel, we’re off to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library for a tour and Lunch.  You will have the evening to yourself to enjoy one of the many fantastic restaurants that Marina Del Rey offers. (B, L)

Day 3: Wednesday, December 30, 2009
Begin your day with a Buffet Breakfast at the hotel.  Then we spend the day at the J. Paul Getty Museum, an architectural wonder. Don’t linger too long outside admiring the impressive edifice  - save plenty of time for the art inside. The sprawling complex houses works of art from several periods and mediums.  Lunch is available for purchase at the museum. (B)

Day 4: Thursday, December 31, 2009
Enjoy a Buffet Breakfast at the hotel.  Then, we head to Pasadena to visit the float barns where you will see volunteers scrambling to finish the last minute details on floats that have taken a year to build.  If we are lucky, we will get to see the float judging, where the floats are in full effect with all costumed personnel and animation.  When you arrive back at the hotel, change into your dancing shoes - tonight is the AAA Arizona New Year’s Eve Party!  Enjoy a wonderful meal, dancing and our champagne toast at midnight - New York Time (!) because we have to get up early tomorrow morning. (B, D)

Day 5: Friday, January 1, 2010

Happy New Year!  Crawl out of bed, have breakfast and board the motor coach – we’re off to the 121st Tournament of Roses Parade!  We will be in our grandstand seats early, so dress for an early morning chill.  Following the Parade, you’re on your own to go to the Granddaddy of them all, the 95th annual Rose Bowl Game, or you might want to take a closer look at the floats, or maybe you just want to get back to the hotel and relax.  It’s up to you. (B, L-boxed)

Day 6: Saturday, January 2, 2010
After breakfast, we bid farewell to California and return to the Grand Canyon State, with a stop for lunch (on your own) along the way in Blythe.  As we say goodbye, we know that the New Year will be filled with beautiful memories of our time together. (B)
